The game is based on Microgaming’s popular Poker Pursuit game, with a few modifications to make it playable as a table game and also to generate a progressive jackpot win.
Microgaming have also copied the way in which players are rewarded with a Royal Flush triggering the big progressive win, while a straight flush sees the player pocket 10% of the jackpot, the same as players can win in land based casinos.
To play the player simply decides how much they wish to bet on a hand from their chip stack (from 0.50 to 100) and they must also decide if they want to be eligible for the progressive jackpot by paying 1 credit if they wish to opt in.
When the bet is made, three cards are dealt face up, with a further two cards face down. The player then uses the five cards as they are revealed to make the best possible poker hand.
If you manage to get a pair or 10s or better in your hand then you win and the amount you win is determined by the odds for the hand you have. A pair of 10s or better pays out at even money, two pairs at 2-1, three of a kind at 3-1, a straight at 5-1 and so on, up to a Royal Flush at 1000/1.
However, if you have opted in to the Progressive Jackpot bet at the start of the hand, then you can win an extra 50 credits for a flush, 100 credits for a full house, 500 credits for four of a kind, 10% of the progressive jackpot for a straight flush and the entire progressive jackpot for a royal flush.
The action is fast and furious and Progressive Poker Ride offers a great way to compete for top in game prizes as well as a fantastic progressive jackpot.
